Ukrtelecom, the largest telecommunications company in Ukraine, intends to increase the number of its WiFi spots by 1,000 or 83% to 2,200 in 2010.
Ukrtelecom’s Board Chairman Heorhii Dzekon announced this at a press conference, un.ua says.
Ukrtelecom presently has 1,200 WiFi spots.
Dzekon also said that Ukrtelecom intends to introduce a service called “OHO!WiFi” soon. According to him, “OHO!WiFi” will be available free to subscribers to the company’s OHO! fixed-line and mobile internet services and issue hourly access cards for sale to non-subscribers to its services.
