Ukraine joined the digital union of the European Union

Ukraine has joined the European Union’s Govtech4all initiative. One of the goals of the association is to increase the efficiency of government processes through digitalization.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, there is now a common goal to create more digital products so that citizens receive convenient and humane public services without queues and bureaucracy. At the first stage, three pilot projects will be developed and implemented in 2023-2025. They will be funded with 6 million euros.

The incubator of govtech products was launched during the Digital Transformation Summit in Brussels, where Fedorov spoke about Ukraine’s digital experience:

“How in three years we have completely changed the philosophy of public services. And that today Ukraine is ready to share its expertise with European partners to develop innovative solutions and achieve top results together.”

Govtech4all has been joined by 14 countries and 21 partner organizations. Among them are the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ukrainian Startup Fund. Ukraine is also the first non-EU country to become part of Govtech4all.
