Transsion Holdings has officially listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, trading under the stock code 02636.HK. This significant move marks the company’s completion of an ‘A+H’ dual platform strategy, following its initial listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s STAR Market in 2019.

Dual Listing Strategy Achieved

The company offered 86.6483 million H shares, with the offering price set at HK$35.30 per share. However, the debut on October 15th saw Transsion Holdings’ stock price dip below its issue price, closing the trading day at HK$33.28 per share, a decline of 5.72%. Early trading data indicated an opening price lower than the offering price, with intra-day losses exceeding 7% at their peak.

Despite the initial dip, Transsion Holdings showed signs of recovery in the early trading session on October 16th. The stock price climbed, reaching a high of HK$34.56 per share. As of the time of reporting, Transsion Holdings’ stock was up 1.8% at HK$33.88 per share.

Strategic Partnership with Qualcomm Extended

In a separate, but timely announcement, Qualcomm Incorporated revealed that it has entered into a long-term renewal of its global patent license agreement with Transsion Holdings. This extended agreement covers 4G and 5G mobile devices and will remain in effect until the end of 2031. This strategic extension underscores the strong ongoing relationship between the two technology giants and secures Transsion’s access to crucial mobile technology for the next decade.

Transsion Holdings, often recognized for its strong presence in emerging markets, particularly Africa, with its Tecno, Infinix, and itel brands, continues to expand its global footprint. The dual listing in Shanghai and Hong Kong is expected to enhance its visibility, provide access to a broader investor base, and support its future growth initiatives. The recovery in stock price on the second day of trading suggests a potential stabilization after the initial market reaction.
