Threads makes it easy for authors to share personal links with their communities and followers. The updated link sharing feature, today, allows Threads users to add up to five links to their account bio and provides performance information that shows how many people have clicked on the links they have shared in posts and profiles.
Previously, Meta only allowed one link to be added to a profile bio on Threads, and this update brings the platform in line with Instagram’s link sharing capabilities. While authors can use services such as Linktree, which provides a landing page that can display multiple links, for this single link slot, having URLs for up to five links directly displayed on profiles will make it easier to see the link options available, such as newsletters, podcasts, articles, and product storefronts.
Threads is also working to provide users with new audience management features that compare weekly data on the number of posts made, total views, replies, and new followers. Meta says these analytical overviews are “coming soon” along with personalized tips that will be shown to authors to “inspire them to find new ways to engage your community.”
