Casetify has released a new anime collection, this time based on the popular Gundam manga series. And just like in the collaboration with Neon Genesis Evangelion, the new collection of mobile accessories includes a case for AirPods Pro designed in the form of a robot head. Specifically, it looks like the head of the RX-78-2 Gundam, a mobile suit piloted by Amuro Rei from the first Gundam anime that aired in 1979. It’s quite huge and not easy to carry around, but the smaller RX-78-2 Gundam Hard Shell Case fits inside the 3D robot’s head along with your AirPods.
In addition to being considered the centerpiece of the collection, Casetify’s Gundam accessories include phone cases, wireless chargers and stands, as well as MacBook and iPad covers, all of which are designed to reflect the motifs of the RX-78-2 Gundam and MS-06S Char’s Zaku II, the mobile suit piloted by Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. This means that you can choose from products representing the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon, the two factions fighting in the original show.
You can join the waiting list for the Gundam collection by Casetify on the company’s Co-Lab website starting from November 29. The collection will go on sale on December 9, but collaboration items tend to sell out quickly. It’s probably worth joining the waiting list if you want to buy any of them, especially the 3D AirPods Pro case.
