Summer Game Fest (SGF) is returning to Los Angeles on June 7, 2024. Industry veteran Jeff Caley (who has hosted numerous gaming conferences throughout his career) is organizing the two-hour event, which will feature an exciting presentation of upcoming games to fuel the excitement of players around the world.
In 2023, Sony announced Spider-man 2 and FF7 Rebirth at SGF
E3’s cancellation left a void for big gaming announcements, and SGF decided to fill it. In 2023, the festival packed a powerful punch, presenting more than 30 games and 7 exciting world premieres. Games like Sonic: Superstar, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” and “Obide” fueled the expectations of gamers from all over the world.
SGF has also become a key platform for major publishers such as Sony. Last year, “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” and “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth” announced their release dates during the event, demonstrating Sony’s significant investment in the festival. Notably, these games could have been presented at a special Sony press conference, but they opted for the wider SGF audience.
The reputation of the festival as a place where the most important announcements take place is not limited to the release date. Trailers of such long-awaited games as Death Stranding Director’s Cut and Elden Ring were first shown at SGF, which cemented its position as a must-attend event. With Summer Game Fest 2024 just around the corner, gamers can look forward to another eventful evening filled with world premieres and, hopefully, a big, big announcement that will energize everyone until the end of the year. We can only hope so!
