ASUS announces the launch of the ASUS Zenbook S 14 (UX5406) laptop in Ukraine – one of the thinnest and most portable 14-inch ASUS AI PCs of the new generation, combining high performance with sophisticated style.
Zenbook S 14 is a premium laptop with a completely new design. The lid of the device is made of exclusive high-tech Ceraluminum material. It offers exceptional durability and easily resists scratches and wear.
ASUS Zenbook S 14 features state-of-the-art technology
Zenbook S 14 is equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) processor with Intel Arc graphics core and an NPU module for artificial intelligence with 47 TOPS performance. Thanks to the use of a state-of-the-art CNC milling manufacturing process, the developers of the device managed to build an extremely thin evaporation chamber into the laptop, which is unique for such a slim device.
This solution ensures a maximum processor power limit (TDP) of 28 watts and operation with a minimum noise level. The laptop boasts a functional design with a dedicated Copilot key and a large touchpad with support for smart gestures.
The ASUS Lumina OLED display with a 3K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate and a powerful four-speaker audio system will give users an unforgettable multimedia entertainment experience. The security of the device is guaranteed by the Microsoft Pluton module, and the convenient new Windows Access Keys feature allows users to securely store authentication data without allowing it to leak.
Advanced biometric identification and privacy features based on the AiSense IR camera system include facial recognition for automatic sign-in and sign-out, Adaptive Lock, and Adaptive Dimming.
A combination of art and technology
Zenbook S 14 is designed with a functional aesthetic. The innovative Ceraluminum material is used for its lid, which provides durability and an attractive appearance. This is an aluminum body with a ceramic film coating.
The company’s engineers worked for four years to improve the color, texture and hardness of this material and achieved excellent results.
Using state-of-the-art CNC milling processes, the Zenbook S 14 has a body that is only 1.1 cm thick, yet contains state-of-the-art components, including an advanced evaporative cooling system.
It’s the only 14-inch laptop to boast this kind of functionality, further demonstrating our commitment to offering users the highest performance without compromising on portability. Metal panel milling operations on CNC machines are also used to cut the exclusive lattice panel on the top of the keyboard, as well as the extra-large touchpad. The laptop is available in two new stylish color shades: Zumaia Gray and Scandinavian White.

New ASUS Zenbook S 14, new features
The Zenbook S 14 delivers true power and next-generation AI technology in an ultra-thin body. It is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) processor with a system-on-chip (SoC) design. Using the SoC concept, the motherboard’s size was reduced by 27% to improve overall cooling efficiency.
It involves the installation of low-power LPDDR5X memory chips in a compact processor module. This reduces the distance between the processor and memory, providing more bandwidth and lower latency, which guarantees stable and productive operation of the device. The processor operates with a TDP of up to 28W, and its built-in NPU module delivers up to 47 TOPS performance for modern AI tools.
The laptop also boasts up to 32GB of high-speed RAM, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 72Wh battery for all-day battery life. With a dedicated Windows Copilot key on the ASUS ErgoSense keyboard to instantly call up the Windows AI assistant and an enlarged touchpad with a 16:10 aspect ratio, working with the laptop is as convenient as possible. The touchpad allows you to quickly adjust the sound volume, screen brightness, and more with smart gestures.
The ultra-compact Zenbook S 14 also features a full range of interface ports, including dual Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.1 card reader, and a combo audio jack. The Wi-Fi 7 wireless module with ASUS WiFi Master Premium certification ensures fast and reliable connectivity.

The real highlight of the new laptop is its stunning 3K HDR ASUS Lumina OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is Pantone Validated and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified. It reproduces a realistic image with unsurpassed colors, reproducing 100% of the shades of the DCI-P3 color space.
ASUS Lumina OLED is a combination of hardware and software solutions. A Samsung matrix is used, after which ASUS software solutions are used to improve the image.
The incredible Zenbook S 14 display is complemented by a powerful Harman Kardon-certified four-speaker audio system – an outstanding engineering achievement in such a thin device. It delivers full-range, multi-dimensional Dolby Atmos sound for a fully immersive multimedia experience.
Quiet and reliable
Zenbook S 14 pays special attention to noise reduction with an advanced cooling system featuring an ultra-thin evaporator chamber and dual IceBlade fans. In Quiet mode, it provides cooling with a noise level of up to 25 dB, and in High Performance mode, it allows the processor to operate with a power limit (TDP) of up to 28 watts. The grille above the keyboard maximizes airflow, minimizing the risk of dust and dirt getting inside the case.
User privacy and security are a priority for us, which is why the new laptop supports Windows Access Keys and the Microsoft Pluton module, which combines the most advanced hardware, firmware, and software to protect against constantly evolving threats.
The Windows Hello facial recognition feature provides a secure login so users no longer need to remember passwords.
The ASUS AiSense IR camera supports Adaptive Lock, which automatically locks the laptop when the user moves away from it, and Adaptive Dimming, which reduces the brightness of the screen when the user looks away from it. However, it is better to disable this function in the OS when watching a video, as the brightness can float if you look away.
