When we peeled the non-working display from the frame, we immediately saw a funny thing: the display is not glued to the bottom of the frame.
And the matrix cable itself is filled with a huge piece of plastic, which rests directly on the screen frame. In our opinion, this physical contact of the screen cable with the body frame through the plastic one leads to a poor screen life.
Due to this design, the cable of the screen matrix is directly glued with hard plastic close to the frame, and therefore it is not surprising that under significant mechanical stress, a green or white stripe appears on the S24 Ultra.
Can I replace the glass separately on S24 Ultra? Yes, it is possible! But judging by the statistics of the Masterphone service center, the display is likely to die immediately after the impact along with the glass.
Price comparison for Samsung S23 Ultra and S24 display replacement
Users of the S23 Ultra complained that the screen breaks easily because of the curved glass.
Now the 24 Ultra has flat glass, but the glass cracks from a hard fall because of the emphasis on the titanium frame. And because of the design feature, the display matrix also does not withstand mechanical stress.
For the Samsung S23 Ultra, the screen is rounded, while for the S24 Ultra, the display is flat! Perhaps now replacing the display on the S24 ultra has become cheaper in price?
