Due to their high price, Samsung foldable phones are out of reach for many consumers. However, it is rumored that Samsung is developing more affordable foldable phones to cater to a wider audience. Tipster Kro recently claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Samsung may be developing affordable phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE. His subsequent posts on X revealed key device specs. However, he claims that he will only release one of them. Nevertheless, we invite you to check out the specifications of both phones that have been leaked.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold FE, Galaxy Z Flip FE specifications (leak)
Galaxy Z Fold FE and Z Flip FE will reportedly be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. This is the same chip that powers the Realme 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 13 Pro. The leak also suggests that the Fold FE may be available with an Exynos SoC, possibly the Exynos 2200, in some markets.
The Galaxy Z Fold FE is said to have 12GB and 16GB of RAM, while the Flip variant may be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. In terms of storage, both foldable models may be available with 256GB and 512GB storage capacities.
The Galaxy Z Fold FE reportedly measures 155.1 x 67.1 x 14.2-15.8 mm when folded. When unfolded, it will measure 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will measure 84.9 x 71.9 x 15.9-171.9 mm when folded and 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded.
Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the existence of budget folding phones. In addition, there is no indication of when they might be released for sale. Therefore, information leaks should be treated with caution.
