Various specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series appear on certification sites. Here are the parameters of wired charging of Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ were spotted on the Chinese certification site 3C. As with the Ultra’s charging characteristics, there are no major differences compared to the Galaxy S24 and S24+’s charging capabilities.
Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ charging speed
According to 3C’s listing, the SM-S9360 (presumably the Galaxy S25+) charges at 45W (15VDC, 3A), and the SM-S9310 (presumably the Galaxy S25) has a charging speed of 25W (9VDC, 2.77A).
As a reminder, the Galaxy S24+ also has a wired charging speed of 45W, and the Galaxy S24 has a 25W charging speed.
So, as already mentioned, Samsung seems to be following the same strategy as with the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy S22 series. Before that, the S21+ supported wired charging with a power of up to 25 watts, and starting with the Galaxy S22 line, it remained unchanged.
The list also mentions that these phones will not come with a power adapter in the box.
Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+: what we know
The similarities may extend to the appearance of the phones. Renderings leaked online show flat and rounded edges.
The batteries inside the Galaxy S25+ may also be the same as the 4900 mAh Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S25 may have a 4000 mAh battery like the Galaxy S24. The battery life may be extended thanks to the Battery AI feature.
Both phones from Samsung are likely to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
