Over the past few days, Redmi teased a new smartphone in China. It was reported that the phone will be called Redmi Note 13 Turbo when it hits the market. However, today the company surprised its fans by announcing that the device will be part of a new series called the Turbo line.
As you can see in the above poster, the upcoming Redmi smartphone will be called “Redmi Note Turbo 3”. For those who don’t know, the device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is said to be a “lightweight” version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
So, what phones will be included in the Turbo series? The Turbo series is positioned as a next-generation productivity flagship aimed at changing the midrange performance landscape.
Last year’s Turbo-branded phone, the Redmi Note Turbo 12, was part of the Note series. The new poster suggests that starting this year, Tubo-branded phones will have a separate lineup. As for the Note series, it will focus on providing mid-range phones to popularize flagship features to a wider audience.
The K line, which will be positioned above the Turbo line, will include high-end phones with flagship performance and features. Finally, the numbered series will include entry-level phones that will be positioned below the Note line.
Coming back to the Redmi Turbo 3, it is expected to debut this month in China. The same device is expected to be rebranded as Poco F6 in the global market. The F6 and F6 Pro, which are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, are likely to debut in May on the global market.
