Redmi is reportedly working on a flagship phone, the Redmi K70 Ultra, for the Chinese market. Late last year, Digital Chat Station shared key specifications of the device without naming it. Today, the leak also shed a little more information about the K70 Ultra.
Main features of Redmi K70 Ultra (according to rumors)
In the above screenshot, the reliable leak by Digital Chat Station talks about an upcoming phone without mentioning its name. According to the Chinese media and discussions in the comments of the Weibo post, it looks like the leak may be related to the Redmi K70 Ultra.
According to the leak, the device will feature an 8-inch LTPO OLED panel with ultra-thin bezels around it. The screen will have a resolution of 1.5K, and its peak brightness can reach 5,000 nits. The device will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset. Previous leaks have claimed that the upcoming Redmi phone with the D9300 chip on board will be called the Redmi K70 Ultra when it hits the Chinese market.
According to the leak, the device will feature 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM, which is the latest advancement in RAM technology. Currently, the only smartphones equipped with LPDDR5T are the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, but they have a maximum of 16GB of RAM in their highest configurations. Furthermore, the LPDDRT versions of the X100 series are only available in the Chinese market. The leak suggests that the Redmi K70 Ultra could be the first smartphone to offer 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM.
The leak also suggests that the K70 Ultra will offer 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. According to other reports, the device may continue to offer an IP68-rated chassis, just like the K60 Ultra. In addition, it is also expected to have an aluminum frame for greater durability.
