Redmi K70 Ultra: Leaked information about chipset, battery size

In the Chinese market, Redmi only has the Redmi Turbo 3, equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. According to reports, the brand is also working on a new K70 series phone that could debut in the first half of the year. Yesterday, Tipster Digital Chat Station published a post on Weibo revealing the device’s battery size and charging capabilities. Although the post has been deleted, we were able to get the details it revealed.

Leak of key parts of Redmi K70 Ultra

It looks like the “N12” mentioned in the above Weibo post might refer to the Redmi K70 Ultra. The leaker stated that the device is powered by the MT6989 chipset, essentially a Dimensity 9300 SoC.

He also said that Redmi K70 Ultra has a 5500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It was previously reported that it will be equipped with up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. This suggests that the K70 Ultra will be the most powerful phone in the K70 series.

As for the display, K70 Ultra is expected to be equipped with an 8-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5 thousand dots. The peak brightness of the screen can be around 5,000 nits. It goes without saying that the device will run Android 14 and HyperOS.

There is no information about the camera capabilities of Redmi K70 Ultra. However, it will most likely be equipped with a dust- and waterproof case with an IP68 rating, just like last year’s Redmi K60 Ultra. In addition, it is also expected to have an aluminum frame for increased durability.
