Redmi K70 Ultra is confirmed to be released this month

Today Redmi officially announced that the Redmi K70 Ultra will be released this month. Pre-orders are now open and users will also receive a Redmi Smart Band 2 with every pre-order. K70 Ultra is being called “the company’s most advanced work to date”.

Redmi focuses on gaming experience

To offer the best gaming experience, the company has reportedly focused on improving three aspects – raw performance capabilities, a balance between game frame rates and power efficiency, and a self-developed superframe super resolution feature that most likely involves rendering the game at a lower resolution than the device’s native resolution and then upscaling it to the native resolution. This helps to improve the gaming experience without using a lot of resources.

According to the teaser, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip and will use the C8+ luminous material developed by Xiaomi in collaboration with TCL Huaxing. The panel’s luminous efficiency reportedly reaches the “strongest level in the industry” and the pixel lifetime has been increased by more than 100%. Wang Teng, vice president of marketing at Xiaomi China and general manager of the Redmi brand, confirmed that Redmi K70 Ultra will be the first smartphone to feature a next-generation 1.5K display, which is said to offer the best eye protection in the industry.

In addition to the improved panel quality, the display bezels are also expected to be thinner than its predecessor.

According to previous leaks, the phone scored 2242 points and 7237 points in the single-core and multi-core Geekbench tests, respectively. In AnTuTu, it scores 2.22 million points and can run Genshin Impact at 1.5K+120Hz. Along with the Dimensity 9300+ processor, the device also features an independent graphics chip.

The phone is powered by a 5500 mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. Talking about the exterior build and design, the phone may feature a metal center frame and a glass back. Like its predecessor, the phone will be IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, just like the Redmi K60 Ultra.
