Redmi is preparing to launch Redmi 13C 4G and Redmi 13C 5G smartphones in India on December 6. Ahead of the upcoming launch, the company is teasing the specifications and features of both smartphones. Ahead of the Redmi 13C 4G and 5G variants, the Redmi 13C models will come with new hardware and software features. The company has shared details about the Redmi 13C 5G chipset.
The new 5G smartphone will be launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. This is a new chipset released in July 2023 for the budget segment of the market and built on a 6-nm process. The smartphone will compete with the Realme 11x and Realme Narzo 60z 5G, which are equipped with the same chipset. The smartphone is expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It may come with 10W 3C fast charging, while the 4G variant will have access to 18W.
On the other hand, the Redmi 13C 4G will feature a 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The smartphone will enter global markets with the Helio G85 SoC, but there is information about the availability of the Helio G99 SoC in India. Other specifications include 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The camera consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera is 8 megapixels for selfies and video calls.
Both smartphones are equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
