Reddit is rolling out new features for posts that should make it easier to check if your post is in line with subreddit rules and is intended for the right community, according to a blog post.
The new rules checker will flag a potential problem when you write a post. As shown in the mobile app’s GIF, you’ll see a red alert icon above the keyboard with a small magic wand icon, and if you click on it, the app will show a pop-up window with the rules your post may be violating.
This feature will be tested first on iOS and Android. If your post is deleted for violating the rules, Reddit will show a tooltip that suggests you try posting it in another subreddit.
A new feature called Community Suggestions will offer recommendations on which subreddit a post might be suitable for. And the “Understand Community Information” tool, which you can see before you post, will let you know the specific requirements for posting in a particular subreddit.
Reddit also offers information about your posts, including “views, approvals, shares, and more,” according to a blog post.
