A well-known informant at Digital Chat Station recently reported that Red Magic is planning to release a new tablet later this month based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading version. This will be the brand’s second tablet after the launch of the first one in July 2023. Now, a source has reported another tablet that the brand has planned for next year.
According to a post on the DCS blog on Weibo, the alleged Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 will be released with a next-generation processor, probably the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The informant also adds that this new tablet will have a relatively smaller screen than the one that the market giants are currently trying to push. The first generation Red Magic Pad had a 12.1-inch screen, so the third-generation model will either have the same size or a smaller one. There are rumors that the second-generation model may also have a smaller display.
Although specific details are not yet known, the tablet is expected to have an efficient cooling system, a large battery, and fast charging capabilities. The first-generation model has a 10,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
In other news, Red Magic plans to launch its Titan 16 Pro gaming laptop, which appears to be a rebranded version of the Red Magic Gaming Laptop 16 Pro, which is currently exclusive to China. The laptop features a 16-inch 2.5K display with a 240Hz refresh rate, Harman Kardon speakers, and a 1080p infrared webcam. It is powered by a 14th-generation Intel Core i9 processor with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070 graphics processors.
