Realme’s founder and CEO, Sky Lee, hinted at a new Note series via X/Twitter today. Official details are still scarce, but the teaser hints that the new line will be coming soon.
In addition, Francis Wong, CEO of Realme Europe, outlined plans for 2024 in a recent online post. One of the key aspects mentioned in it is the introduction of a new product line, separate from the existing GT, Number, and C series. This move, according to Wong, is aimed at “looking the competition in the eye more directly”.
Although the teaser doesn’t reveal which device will be the first, leaks and certificates suggest that the first device in the lineup could be the Realme Note 50.
This phone appeared on Geekbench with the Unisoc T612 chipset, which is commonly used in budget smartphones. This is an octa-core processor with a peak clock speed of 1.82 GHz. The Note 50 has also been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Thai NBTC with the model number RMX3834.
Leaker Paras Guglani also shared some information about the Note 50’s features. The device is said to feature a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with water droplet protection. Camera specs include 13MP primary and 0.8MP secondary cameras, as well as a 5MP front-facing selfie camera on the front.
As for the battery capacity, the TUV Rheinland certificate indicates a 4890 mAh battery with only 10W charging support.
The price has not yet been officially disclosed, but speculation suggests that the price on the Indian market will be around Rs. 8,000.
In a related post, Realme today also confirmed the launch date of the Realme 12 Pro series. The two smartphones in the lineup – Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ – will be available worldwide on January 29.
