A prolific industry leaker under the name Digital Chat Station (DCS) told about the new Realme phone based on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
Although the informant did not mention the official name, it is most likely the Realme GT 7 Pro. The phone will be a direct successor to the GT 5 Pro, as there is no Pro model in the Realme GT 6 series.
The GT 7 Pro is rumored to have a 1.5K display with slightly curved edges. On the back, we can expect a square camera module in the upper left corner, containing a triple camera system.
The main sensor is a 50-megapixel multifocal lens, and one of the additional cameras is a 3x periscope telephoto lens using a Sony IMX882 sensor. In addition, the source said that the phone may not have support for telephoto macro.
As for the battery, it will be around 6000 mAh, not “less than 5800 mAh”, and the phone will support 100-watt fast charging.
For security, the GT 7 Pro will be equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display, making it the first Realme phone to feature this technology.
The comments also mention that the phone will be IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistant, which means it should be able to withstand splashes, spills, and short-term immersion in water. However, wireless charging support for Realme GT 7 Pro has not yet been confirmed. Apart from these details, the user did not reveal anything else about the phone.
It could be the first phone based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 to debut on the global market. The launch date is expected sometime in the last quarter of this year.
