This month, Realme is expected to launch the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones in various markets. Today, the key specifications of the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ have been published in the TENAA certification platform database. Although the lists contain important information, it is worth noting that chipset names are usually not disclosed in TENAA certificates. The Realme 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ were powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. The new development shows that the Realme 12 Pro series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets.
According to the informant Abhishek Yadav, the Realme 12 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. The same chip powers smartphones such as the Vivo Y100i Power, iQOO Z8x, and Honor X50, which are available in the Chinese market. However, the Realme 12 Pro could be the first smartphone in India to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip.
As for the Realme 12 Pro+, it is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The only other phone that has the same chip is the Redmi Note 13 Pro.
