After several weeks of leaks, Realme has officially confirmed the launch date of the Realme 12 Pro series. The company announced that the global announcement will take place on January 29.
Realme 12 Pro series: What to expect?
The poster with the launch date published by the brand gives a glimpse of the Realme 12 Pro+ model, which is equipped with a telephoto camera with a periscopic lens. In addition, the brand confirmed that the 12 Pro series will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera. The launch is expected to be two weeks away, and the brand will confirm more details about the 12 Pro line in the coming weeks.
The Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will reportedly feature the same primary camera and 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. While the 12 Pro will feature a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, the Pro+ variant will be blessed with an OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support. The 12 Pro+ is confirmed to support 6x lossless zoom and 120x digital zoom. For selfies, the 12 Pro will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, while the 12 Pro+ will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chips, respectively. Both devices are expected to feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The lineup will be available with 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
The Realme 12 Pro duo will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, FHD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices are expected to run Android 14 based on Realme UI 5 and feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security. The 12 Pro duo will be available in Submarine Blue and Navigator colors, while the 12 Pro+ will also be available in Explorer Red.
