Razer app for remote PC gaming now available

After Razer suspended direct sales of laptops in the US (thanks to the on-and-off tariffs that still apply to China), the company has officially launched its remote game streaming app. Razer PC Remote Play, which the company launched in beta at CES 2025, is now officially available for iOS and Android.

Razer may have been a bit late to the game, and its app is hardly the only way to stream PC games to other devices (Steam, for example, has offered similar functionality for six years). But Razer’s app has a clever trick: it automatically adjusts the game’s resolution and frame rate to match your mobile device’s settings. This way, you can avoid the black bars that appear on services that only stream games with a fixed aspect ratio.

The company claims that it works with all game controllers on iOS and Android, and the iPad version supports keyboard, mouse, and trackpad. It works with games from various stores (including Steam, Epic, PC Game Pass, and others). The application uses the AV1 video codec, which, according to Razer, improves quality and reduces latency.

Installation requires the Razer Nexus and PC Remote Play apps on your mobile device and Razer Cortex on your computer. Once you sign in with your Razer ID, they will automatically connect and you can get started. You can download the app now from Google Play and the App Store.
