POCO seems to be working on a limited edition of the smartphone. Reportedly, the Xiaomi sub-brand will collaborate with Marvel Studios. The upcoming offer will be timed to coincide with the release of the long-awaited Deadpool and Wolverine movie on July 26. Microsoft recently announced a Deadpool-themed controller. Although the launch date of the POCO device remains a mystery, an insider shared an image on X that gives us a glimpse of the mystery smartphone.
The image shared by the insider shows a limited edition POCO smartphone in red with a leather-textured back panel. It looks like Deadpool’s signature blood red color. The LED flash has a superhero emblem. On the right side of the panel is the POCO branded “special limited edition” inscription in yellow. You can also see the blade of the hero’s katana under the camera sensors.
It is expected that the upcoming POCO smartphone, as a special limited edition, will come in an individual box with stickers, a keychain, and other nice little things. The smartphone can also come with a customized interface. It may be released on July 26, and sales will start in early August.
Judging by the location of the cameras on the limited edition POCO smartphone, it appears to be the POCO F6. It was spotted in the HyperOS database back in April. The POCO F6 features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a dual rear camera of 50 megapixels and 8 megapixels. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The smartphone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 90W charging support.
