Poco F6: Chipset, specs and camera leak

Recently, Xiaomi released the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, which became the world’s first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip in China. A recent post by Poco Global CEO David Liu revealed that Poco’s upcoming phone, which is likely to be the Poco F6, will be the first phone on the global market to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Ahead of the expected launch, AndroidHeadlines has published a report that leaked initial details about the Poco F6.

A previous report showed that the upcoming Poco F6 has the codename “period”. It also revealed that “N61” is the internal model number of the device. The new report, citing the Mi code as its source, claims that the device will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera. For those who don’t know, the same camera is also available on phones like the Realme 12 Pro 5G and iQOO Z9 5G.

The report also notes that an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens and an OmniVision OV20B40 camera, likely for macro photography, will accompany the main camera. The device may have a dual camera, potentially eliminating the macro lens from the final product. Therefore, the leak should be treated with caution.

The report also reveals that the Poco F6 has an SM8635 processor, which is none other than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. For those who don’t know, the same device is expected to enter the Chinese market under the Redmi Note 13 Turbo brand. The F6 is said to use OLED panels from Chinese display markets such as TCLD and Tianma. As for the launch, it is expected to take place in April or May this year.
