Oppo has officially unveiled the long-awaited satellite-enabled version of its flagship Find X7 Ultra smartphone. The Find X7 Ultra, which will be released in early 2024, is the world’s first smartphone with a dual periscope camera.
Three months after the first launch, the lineup has finally been expanded with models that support satellite communication. Let’s dive into their characteristics and features.

As you might expect, the main improvement of the new model is the addition of satellite communication capabilities. The satellite model features an innovative patented antenna design that allows users to make two-way satellite calls.
In addition, the Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication also facilitates satellite messaging, meaning you can also send texts from remote areas where cellular networks are unreliable.
Aside from the satellite connectivity, the phone’s aesthetics and basic specs are almost identical to the standard Find X7 Ultra model. It boasts a 6.82-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168×1440 and supports adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz for a smooth visual experience.
Under the hood is a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, as well as LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging.
Oppo Find X7 Ultra Satellite Edition continues to impress with its versatile camera. It features a wide-angle 50-megapixel camera with a large 1-inch sensor and f/1.8 aperture for excellent low-light shooting.
In addition, you get two telephoto lenses: A 50-megapixel lens with a 65 mm focal length and f/2.6 aperture, and a 50-megapixel super telephoto lens with a 135 mm focal length and f/4.3 aperture, which provides incredible zoom capabilities.
An ultra-wide-angle camera with 50 megapixel resolution and f/2.0 aperture is provided for capturing vast landscapes and group shots. Finally, the 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture is perfect for selfies and video calls.

Oppo Find X7 Ultra Satellite Edition is currently available in a single configuration with 16GB RAM + 1TB storage for RMB 7,499. The phone will go on sale for the first time on April 2 in China. It will be available for purchase on the official Oppo China website or on JD.com.
