OnePlus is reportedly working on the second generation of its smartwatch. The brand debuted its first smartwatch back in 2021. OnePlus Watch 2 appeared in leaked renders last November. And now, reliable informant Max Jambor has shared information about the device’s launch date. OnePlus is already preparing to launch the OnePlus 12 and 12R smartphones, as well as the Buds 3 TWS headphones in global markets next week.
OnePlus Watch 2 is getting ready to launch soon
According to Max Jambor, OnePlus Watch 2 will be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. This year’s MWC will start on February 26 and end on February 29. OnePlus has not yet officially confirmed the existence of its upcoming smartwatch. We can expect the brand to start teasing the wearable device as we get closer to the MWC event.
OnePlus Watch 2 will replace the original OnePlus Watch. The renders show an updated design language of the upcoming novelty. It looks thick, with a metal body and a small protrusion on the right side, where the physical buttons are located. The smartwatch will be available in white and black colors.
As for the main specifications, the OnePlus Watch 2 will feature a 1.43-inch AMOLED display. It will be powered by a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, which ensures smooth and fast performance. The wearable will be equipped with all the necessary health sensors. Jamboree also claims that OnePlus Watch 2 will run on Google’s WearOS operating system.
