They are a direct successor to the Buds 2 Pro model that debuted last year. As the name suggests, the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro has some upgrades over the standard offering as well as over its predecessor.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 retain the same earbud design as the standard model, albeit with some minor changes. The stem has a glossy finish, while the earbuds have a matte texture with silicone earbuds. The brand has changed the design of the storage and charging case, giving it the shape of a pebble. It is noteworthy that it has a leather texture, which is the first in this segment. The headphones are IP55 waterproof.
In the audio department, OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are equipped with an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. They are customized with two digital-to-analog converters per earbud. This, in turn, ensures fine-tuning and superior sound. The brand continued to work with Dynaudio to customize the audio and improve the sound.
TWS headphones feature 50dB active noise cancellation, which is only a slight improvement over the previous model. It can also automatically change depending on the user’s environment. There is a transparency mode that allows you to stay aware of your surroundings.
The audio device supports the LHDC 5.0 codec with a data rate of 1 Mbps. Buds Pro 3 also features Google Spatial Audio technology with head tracking for an immersive audio experience. The headphones are also equipped with three microphones and a bone conduction microphone for crystal clear quality during calls.
OnePlus Buds Pro 3 offer 43 hours of battery life. Each earbud provides 6 and 10 hours of use with ANC enabled and disabled. The case supports fast charging as well as wireless charging. TWS headphones are equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 and can connect to two devices at the same time. OnePlus has also integrated IMU sensors into the Buds 3 that track your activity and provide timely posture alerts for neck health. They come with Find My Earbuds and Zen Mode Air features.
The price of Buds Pro 3 is $179 / £199 / €199.
