OnePlus is reportedly working on its next-generation flagship phone, the OnePlus 13. Although the OnePlus 12 debuted in December 2023 in China, it looks like its successor could be officially unveiled much earlier this year. In a new leak, Digital Chat Station has revealed what to expect from the OP13.
Key details of OnePlus 13 revealed
According to DCS, the OnePlus 13 will undergo a design change, eliminating the traditional hinge camera module design that has been offered for the past few years. The latest OnePlus 13 prototype has a large screen with a 2K resolution. A recent leak claimed that it will be equipped with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The DCS leak suggests that OnePlus is making efforts to improve the imaging system of the OnePlus 13 to the level of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra. As such, it looks like its 50-megapixel primary camera and periscope lens will offer improved photo quality. In addition, OnePlus is in a hurry to acquire the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
Reports claim that Qualcomm will introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset in October this year. It is also claimed that Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro with the new chip will debut in the same month this year. Now that the OP13 is said to be launched as the first phone on SD8G4, it is likely that it could debut in October this year.
By the way, OnePlus is expected to announce OnePlus Ace 3V this month in China. It is said to be the first phone with the all-new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip on board. Probably, in the second half of the year, the Chinese market may see the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
