OnePlus is preparing to launch its flagship smartphone OnePlus 12 in China. The company has already confirmed that the phone will feature the latest Sony Lytia lens as the main camera.
Today, OnePlus revealed more details about the phone’s camera system, confirming that it will also feature a 64-megapixel camera with periscope zoom.
The periscopic zoom camera will reportedly use the OmniVision OV64B sensor and offer up to 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus also shared a few examples of photos taken with the OnePlus 12’s periscope zoom camera, and the results are impressive. The photos show that the camera can capture a lot of detail, even in low light conditions.
In addition, the OnePlus 12 is expected to feature a 53-megapixel LYT-T808 primary camera and a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide-angle camera. This will be the same camera setup that is available on the OnePlus Open.
In addition, the OnePlus 12 is rumored to have a 2K BOE X1 OLED display with curved edges, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The battery is expected to have a capacity of 5400 mAh and can be charged using a 100W adapter. Other rumors include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 14 based on ColorOS 14 in the Chinese market.
The OnePlus 12 is expected to hit the Chinese market this month, with a global launch expected in January 2024.
