Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone in the Chinese and global markets. The launch of the new series is expected to take place on February 25 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), and the Ultra may also be unveiled at the same event. Today, we have received official high-resolution renders of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra from our reliable sources. Let’s take a look at what the new renders show.
High-resolution renders obtained by MySmartPrice confirm that Xiaomi will debut the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in black and white or silver colors. The main visible change in the upcoming device will be the addition of a small protrusion on the camera module compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
The camera module will also be surrounded by a silver frame under the standard black and gold bezel. The positioning of the Leica branding and the placement of the camera sensors and LED flash will be similar to its predecessor.
Xiaomi will place the power button and volume keys on the right side of the device. The smartphone’s power button will have a textured coating to improve the grip and feel of the device. Antenna markings will be placed on the sides of the smartphone.
The bottom part will house the speaker grille, USB Type C port and the main microphone. The location of the speaker grille and main microphone on the upcoming device will be changed compared to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone.
The high-resolution renders also show that only the secondary speaker grille will be placed at the top. Secondary microphones and an infrared blaster are absent from the renders. However, Xiaomi is unlikely to debut a smartphone without an IR blaster.
The left side of the smartphone will be clean, except for the antenna markings. The black color of the smartphone will have a textured finish, and both shades are likely to use leatherette material.
The Xiaomi logo will be present on the left side of the back of the smartphone. Official renders do not give us an idea of the design of the front panel of the smartphone.
Expected characteristics of Xiaomi 14 Ultra
A recent leak has revealed that Xiaomi will debut the smartphone in a special titanium-framed variant alongside the standard aluminum-framed variant. The leak on Weibo shows that the leather versions will only be available with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The younger versions with 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage will have a glass back.
It also looks like Xiaomi plans to offer interested buyers a discount coupon for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra on its Dutch website. The discount coupon will be available between February 25 and March 31, hinting that the Ultra will be available in European markets between these dates.
