Nubia has officially launched its latest mobile cooling accessory, the “Ice Cream Cooler,” designed to combat overheating issues during intense mobile usage. This innovative device, sharing its core cooling architecture with the RedMagic 8 Pro, is set to go on sale on September 10th at 10 AM. Available for an estimated initial sale price of 99 Yuan, it normally retails for 159 Yuan.

Advanced Cooling Technology

At the heart of the Ice Cream Cooler lies Nubia’s seventh-generation RedMagic cooling technology, dubbed the COLDING architecture. This system is engineered for a comprehensive thermal exchange, integrating the semiconductor, heatsink, airflow, fan, and conductive copper plate. Nubia claims this integrated approach enhances conversion efficiency by a remarkable 72%.

The internal structure is a sophisticated four-layer design. It features a pure aluminum equally-distributed heat conduction plate, high-density TEC (Thermoelectric Cooler) chips similar to those in the 8 Pro, a custom-forged cold heatsink, and a custom fan derived from the RedMagic 6 Pro+. This robust construction aims to deliver rapid and efficient cooling.

Powerful Performance

The device boasts a custom 36*36mm high-density TEC unit, comprising 96 pairs of PN junctions, capable of achieving sub-zero temperatures in seconds. With a cooling area of 1296mm², it offers a 79% performance improvement over standard cooling solutions. The Ice Cream Cooler has a peak power of 25W, with the ability to reduce temperatures as low as -18℃. It can effectively lower device temperatures by up to 60℃ under load, addressing heat issues during gaming, live streaming, fast charging, and outdoor activities.

Optimized Airflow and Design

Equipped with a custom 7-blade fan, also from the RedMagic 6 Pro+, the cooler spins at speeds up to 6,000 RPM. This high rotational speed ensures rapid expulsion of heat, complementing the cooling mechanism. The 3D through-type airflow design facilitates airflow in both upper and lower directions, directing hot air away from the user’s hands and minimizing noise to a low 33dB.

Aesthetically, the Ice Cream Cooler features a charming “vanilla cookie” design. The main body is vanilla-colored with randomly placed “cookie” accents, ensuring each unit is unique. Its square body is complemented by large rounded corners, and the surface is treated with an AG matte spray and an AF anti-fingerprint coating. Measuring a mere 25mm in thickness and weighing just 90g, its lightweight and slim profile ensures comfortable handling without obstructing grip or adding noticeable weight, making it suitable for a wide range of phones and tablets.

Versatile Functionality and Connectivity

The cooler integrates an NTC temperature control AI chip, offering four adjustable modes: Silent, Powerful, Overclocking, and Thermostatic Control. These modes are easily selectable via a button. Additionally, an integrated ring RGB light strip provides three lighting effects—multicolored, breathing, and fixed—also controllable via buttons. A double-click switches lighting effects, while a long press toggles the lights on or off.

For attachment, the cooler utilizes a powerful rare-earth magnet for secure, stable connection that works both horizontally and vertically. The package includes a pair of detachable clips, allowing users to convert the magnetic cooler into a clip-on version compatible with both Apple and Android devices. Furthermore, a universal 1/4-inch screw interface is included, enabling direct connection to live streaming brackets.

Detailed product specifications are available, highlighting the advanced features and user-centric design of the Nubia Ice Cream Cooler, promising a cooler and more comfortable mobile experience.
