Nubia announces the launch of the Nubia Pad 3D II at MWC 2024

Nubia is getting ready to launch its latest innovation, the Nubia Pad 3D II, following its original 3D tablet. The launch is scheduled for February 26 at MWC 2024, which the company confirmed with a teaser on Weibo.

The teaser proclaims the Nubia Pad 3D II to be “the world’s first 5G+ AI naked eye 3D tablet”. This confirms the tablet’s connection to the 5G network, as well as the ability to enjoy 3D content without the need for special glasses or equipment.

In addition, the emphasis on artificial intelligence indicates that the device will have AI capabilities to enhance the 3D content viewing experience.

The teaser poster also shows off the tablet’s sleek gray design, with a dual rear camera, dual front cameras, LED flash, and USB Type-C port. However, other specifications are still up in the air.

Here are the specifications of the first Nubia 3D tablet: The Nubia Pad 3D features a 12.4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 16:10.

It uses a proprietary DLB layer developed by Leia Inc. for the Leia 3D Lightfield mode, which allows converting 2D content to 3D in real time.

The tablet is equipped with two 8-megapixel front cameras for tracking the user’s face, which allows viewing 3D content without glasses.

In addition, users can take 3D photos and videos and scan objects using the two front cameras and a 16-megapixel camera on the back.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, the Nubia Pad 3D offers 128GB or 256GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. It is powered by a 9700 mAh battery with 33W fast charging and runs on Android 13.

Nubia Pad 3D II will be presented together with the first foldable phone from Nubia, the Nubia Flip 5G.
