The National Communications Regulation Commission has licensed Odesa-based Comstar-Ukraine company for rendering local fixed-line telephony services in six regions and the city of Kyiv until 2015, decision No. 79 of February 25 said.
The licence provides network capacity of over 10,000 telephone numbers.
Thus, the company will offer local fixed-line telephony services in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
As Ukrainian News reported, Comstar Ukraine was set up in Odesa in June 2006 in consortium with the Ukrainian Neotel Company to extend presence of the Russian Comstar Unified TeleSystems fixed telephony operator and Internet access in the Ukrainian market of fixed-line telephony.
