NASA has signed a contract for waste recycling services

NASA has awarded a storage and waste management services contract to Ahtna Integrated Services LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, to provide waste management, disposal and recycling services at the Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California.

This is a hybrid contract, which includes a firm fixed price and an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity portion. The performance period begins on Friday, November 1, with a 60-day phase-in period followed by a one-year base period and options to extend performance until November 2029. The maximum potential value of the contract is approximately $24 million.

Under this contract, the company will provide basic, regularly scheduled waste storage, removal and recycling services at NASA Ames. The company will focus on health and safety, environmental compliance, sanitary cleaning, and customer service.
