Ukrainian Mobile Communications, the mobile telephone operator that owns the MTS brand, will not raise tariffs for mobile communications services in 2010, MTS Director-General Andrey Dubovskov had told a news conference.
“I think we’ll be stable. Changes in tariffs will be only tactical. We have no strategic plan for raising tariffs,” he stressed, un.ua says.
MTS Marketing Director Vasyl Latsanich added, there was no need in higher rates if observe growth in traffic consumption.
Information from the company, MoU figures (average monthly voice traffic per subscriber) in 2009 rose 655 on 2008, or by 183 minutes to 462 minutes.
MTS reported a net profit of UAH 640.3 million for the year 2009, when its net revenues reduced by UAH 421.5 million or 4.9% to UAH 8,172.7 million compared with 2008.
