Motorola, under the Lenovo umbrella, has begun teasing its upcoming flagship, the Signature 27. The company has announced that more details will be revealed on September 22nd.
The teaser campaign includes a video that opens with the tagline “Every material. Obsessed.” It then showcases the back of the phone in a moss green color, featuring different textured back covers and notably, a 200-megapixel main camera. A blurred image of an unnamed chip is also visible before the video concludes by confirming the product name, “Signature 27,” and the reveal date of September 22nd.
This date is particularly interesting as Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit is scheduled from September 22nd to 24th. This timing suggests a potential collaboration between Motorola and Qualcomm, hinting that the Signature 27 might be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Series chipset (dubbed Snapdragon 8 Gen 3). It remains unclear whether it will feature the standard or a ‘s’ variant of the chip.
Further clues were found within the source code of the Signature 27’s webpage, which contained a comment referencing “Crystals by Swarovski logo.” This strongly suggests that a version of the Signature 27 will incorporate Swarovski crystal embellishments, adding a premium aesthetic to the device.
For context, the previous model, the 2026 Signature (Signature 26), featured a 6.8-inch display, was powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and housed a 5200mAh battery, weighing 186g. Its specifications were similar to the moto X70 Air Pro available in the Chinese market.
With the 200MP camera and the potential for the latest Snapdragon processor, the Motorola Signature 27 is shaping up to be a high-end contender in the smartphone market. The collaboration with Swarovski also points towards a focus on design and luxury appeal, alongside powerful performance. Tech enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting the September 22nd announcement for the full specifications and features.
