Although Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says he loves podcasts, he may not actually listen to them anymore.
This interesting news comes at the end of a lengthy interview with Nadella by Bloomberg, which focused on Microsoft’s AI strategy and its complicated relationship with OpenAI. To illustrate how actively he uses Copilot AI assistant in his daily life, Nadella said that instead of listening to podcasts, he uploads transcripts to Copilot and then discusses the content with it on the way to the office.
Additionally, Nadella, who jokingly refers to his job as an “email typist,” said he relies on at least 10 custom agents developed in Copilot Studio to summarize emails and messages, prepare for meetings, and perform other tasks in the office.
It seems that AI is already transforming Microsoft in a more substantial way, as programmers are reportedly the hardest hit by recent layoffs at the company, shortly after Nadella announced that 30% of the company’s code is written with AI.
