Microsoft has announced that it is making some features of its Copilot artificial intelligence available for free. Now everyone has unlimited access to the Voice and Think Deeper features, which are powered by OpenAI’s o1 model.
The Voice feature, which allows users to conduct conversations with artificial intelligence, was launched in October 2024. The Think Deeper feature is designed to analyze complex queries, such as assessing the pros and cons of large home purchases, taking into account cost and long-term value.
“We’re working hard to bring unlimited access to the advanced features to as many people as possible as soon as possible,” the blog post says. Microsoft noted that users may experience delays or interruptions in these new free Copilot apps during heavy use. Copilot Pro subscription users will continue to have privileged access to the company’s latest AI models during peak workloads, as well as new features that are still in the experimental phase.
