Recently, Meizu introduced its flagship phone Meizu 21 Pro, equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, in China. It is said to be the brand’s latest smartphone. However, a new leak, courtesy of a Digital Chat Station informant, shows that Meizu is preparing to launch a powerful smartphone.

The screenshot above shows that Meizu’s new battery with model number BA468 has been approved by the 3C certification platform in China. It has a nominal capacity of 5,400 mAh, which suggests that its typical value could be 5,500 mAh.

After the 3C listing appeared, DCS published a post on Weibo in which it revealed key features of the upcoming smartphone without naming it directly. The emoji used by the leaker suggests that he may be referring to a brand new Meizu phone.
Meizu is developing a new mid-range Snapdragon AI chipset phone, according to a DCS report on Weibo. The leaker said that the device features a flat display and is powered by a 5400 mAh (nominal) / 5500 mAh (typical) BA466 battery. He also said that they will be accompanied by a UP2033 power adapter that supports 66W fast charging.
In the past, the brand has launched phones in various price ranges in the Chinese market. However, over the past year, it has limited its product line to exclusively releasing flagship smartphones based on Snapdragon 8-series processors. Since the source claims that the device has a mid-range chip, it is likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC.
As for the device’s nickname, the mysterious Meizu phone may be a new addition to the Meizu 21 series. Some Weibo users claim that the device will be called Meizu 21x when it appears on the Chinese market.
