Lenovo YOGA Air 14 laptop will be equipped with an OLED display with touch screen option

Lenovo‘s YOGA Air 14, which has been given an official domestic name in China with its recent 3C certification, is getting ready to launch. Formerly known as the Yoga Slim 7/Lenovo Slim 7 in international markets, this thin and light mid-range to high-end laptop debuted at CES 2024 and is expected to hit US store shelves in April for a price starting at $1,049.99 (approximately ¥7,560).

The Air 14 features the sleek design of the latest YOGA series laptops, a stamped aluminum alloy chassis, and Intel Evo certification, which recognizes the standards for performance and thinness. Under the hood, users can choose between Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H processors, which provide smooth performance for both everyday tasks and demanding workloads. The RAM consists of 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x-7560 RAM soldered directly to the motherboard for increased efficiency and a slimmer profile.

The visual experience is provided by an OLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The peak brightness of this panel is 400 nits, which ensures sufficient visibility in various lighting conditions. For those who prefer a more interactive experience, the display is also available in a touch version, with the touch version adding a slight weight increase of 0.04 kg.

The device is powered by a 65 Wh battery that works in conjunction with a 65 Wh power adapter for efficient charging. The 1080p webcam is suitable for video conferencing and features infrared face recognition technology for secure login. In addition, the webcam features a physical privacy mask that allows users to control access to the camera, as well as a depth-of-field sensor that can potentially expand depth measurement capabilities for applications such as augmented reality.

The YOGA Air 14 boasts a wide range of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-speed data transfer and display connectivity, two USB-A 5 Gbps ports for peripherals, an HDMI 2.1 port for connecting to external displays, and a headphone jack for wired audio devices. Measuring 312 x 221 x 14.9 mm and weighing 1.39 kg for the non-touch version and 1.43 kg for the touch version, the laptop offers a balance between portability and functionality, making it a suitable choice for students, professionals and content creators on the go.
