Google is preparing to unveil a new generation of Pixel smartphones and smartwatches on August 13, which is much earlier than the traditional launch date. Leaks and rumors about the search giant’s upcoming hardware offerings are gaining momentum. Now, a new clear render of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL shared by insider Sudhanshu Ambhore gives us a look at both devices in two shades.
The Pixel 9 was spotted in a leaked live image earlier this month showing the device in pink. The latest render gives us a much better look in the same shade. The hue on the horizontal camera island is slightly different from the rest of the back. The pink color of the Pixel 9 is a positive step up from the basic black, blue, and green colors found on most modern smartphones.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in a porcelain color, which is no different from last year’s Pixel 8 Pro. We can notice the periscope lens placed inside the pill-shaped island. There’s also a temperature sensor placed under the LED flash.
The key design difference between last year’s Pixel 8 series and the upcoming Pixel 9 line is that the latter, according to leaked renders, will have a boxy design with a flat bezel. The camera’s horizontal bridge has been cropped from the sides. In addition, the Pixel 9 series is rumored to be equipped with the Tensor G4 chipset and will have up to 16 GB of RAM.
A price leak suggests that prices for the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro could start at €899 and €1,099 for the 128GB base models, respectively. The Pixel 9 Pro XL will reportedly start at €1,199 for the base version, just like its other siblings.
