Kyivstar modernized 10 thousand 4G towers during the war

Kyivstar restores and develops Ukraine’s telecom infrastructure, introduces new communication technologies, and invests in the energy independence of its mobile network. Since the beginning of the war, the company has modernized more than 10 thousand 4G base stations, which has improved radio coverage in 3.4 thousand settlements.

Thanks to the professional work of the company’s employees, 93% of the network in the government-controlled area is stable and provides Ukrainians with communication and data services.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the national telecom operator has paid UAH 15.208 billion in taxes and fees to the state budget. This includes UAH 1.4 billion in radio frequency fees and UAH 53 million in military duty.

Due to its professional activities, the company not only pays the largest amount of taxes in the telecom market, but also supports programs to help the Armed Forces, Ukrainians and the country. Thus, the company has allocated UAH 300 million to restore Ukraine’s digital infrastructure, UAH 55 million for special equipment to strengthen the country’s cyber defense, helps equip engineering and sapper groups as part of the We Live Here initiative, provides Internet access to civil defense facilities and military hospitals, etc.

To support Ukrainian mobile subscribers, the telecom operator has provided bonuses and services at no extra charge worth over UAH 500 million during the full-scale war. The total amount of Kyivstar‘s assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, its subscribers and the country is over UAH 1.370 billion.
