km-coreKM Core, a multinational investing and technology holding based in Kyiv, on September 24 opened a representative office in the United States of America, holding’s vice president of development of business, Bohdan Kulich, has told journalists.

The office was opened in Santa Clara, located in the so-called Silicon Valley. Randy Smith is appointed to head the office.

As to Smith, at the moment the office employs three people but the holding has potential for widening the staff in case of necessity.

The purpose of opening an office in the United States is marketing representation and organisation of channels of sales for the companies that enter the holding.

Silicon Valley is in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. The region is home to many of the world’s largest technology companies, for the large number of silicon chip innovators and manufacturers and high-tech businesses in the area.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, KM Core intends to invest USD 100 million into its development by the end of 2011.

KM Core is a result of re-branding Kvazar-Mikro.

The holding consists of four companies: KM Techno (development of software products under SaaS model, software as a service, office in Kyiv), KM Ware (outsourcing services for development of software for companies based in the United States, the European Union, and the Commonwealth of Independent States, offices in Kyiv and United States), КМ 211 (creation of architecture of microelectronic integrated circuit, office in Zelenograd, Russia), KM Disti (IT-distributor).
