This month, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 12 equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in the Chinese market. Now the brand is preparing to launch Ace 3 based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in the domestic market. In a new leak, Digital Chat Station has revealed that a mid-range Ace phone is also under development.
Main features of the OnePlus Ace 3V
According to the leak, OnePlus is working on an Ace-branded phone powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. He added that the device will feature a 1.5K resolution flat panel display. Although he didn’t mention the name of the device, it looks like it will be sold as the OnePlus Ace 3V when it hits the market.
The OnePlus Ace 3V is expected to replace the Ace 2V, which debuted in March 2023. As most new smartphones enter the market about a month earlier than their predecessors, the Ace 3V is likely to debut in February or March 2024.
It is worth reminding that OnePlus Ace 2V was rebranded as OnePlus Nord 3 on the global market. So, it is likely that the Ace 3V may be born under the name OnePlus Nord 4 or Nord 5. Other details about the Ace 3V/Nord 4 are still unknown. The price of Ace 2V at the time of launch was 2299 yuan (~321 USD). So, it is likely that Ace 3V may have a similar price.
Speaking of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, it has already been seen on the Honor 100 and Vivo S18. It is expected that this chipset will also be used in the Realme 12 Pro series, which is expected to hit the market in Q1 2024.
