With the launch of the iQOO Z9 just around the corner, the company has officially shared new teasers of the upcoming smartphone. One of these teasers of the upcoming smartphone claims to be the fastest phone in its segment thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity chipset under the hood.
In a tweet, the CEO of iQOO India shared an image of a poster claiming that the iQOO Z9 5G is the fastest smartphone in its segment thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. For those who are not in the know, the Z9 is expected to be priced at around 20,000 Indian rupees (approximately $240 USD). Thus, the upcoming smartphone is one of the most powerful devices in this price range.
As a reminder, this is the same chipset that is used in Redmi Note 13 Pro+, iQOO Z7 Pro, Vivo V27, Vivo T2 Pro 5G, etc. In addition, the official iQOO India X page (formerly Twitter) also shared another teaser image showing the iQOO Z9 in green color. At the moment, the Amazon landing page for this device is already live.
Based on what we know so far, the Z9 5G has a tall OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by a large 5000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The smartphone will run Android 14 based on the custom FunTouch OS 14 out of the box and will have a fingerprint scanner under the display for security. The Chinese brand will unveil the phone on March 12.
