iQOO Z9 Turbo will get Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 6,000 mAh battery

This month, iQOO will introduce the affordable flagship phone iQOO Z9 Turbo in China. Today, the brand posted new images on its Weibo account that confirm the back design, chipset, battery size, and some other details.

First look at the iQOO Z9 Turbo

The image above gives a first look at the design of iQOO Z9 Turbo. The device has flat edges and a square camera module with two cameras and the OIS logo. Next to the camera module is a two-tone dual LED flash. In terms of design, it looks like a stripped-down version of the iQOO 12 series.

iQOO has revealed that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will be one of the first batches of phones to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a smaller version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Last month, Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro made its debut in China as the world’s first SD8sG3 phone.

The Redmi Turbo 3, which will debut tomorrow (April 10) in China, will also be equipped with the aforementioned chipset. The upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 will also feature the same chip. While the Z9 Turbo will debut this month, there is no clarity on the launch timeline for the GT Neo 6.

It has also been confirmed that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will be equipped with an independent graphics processing chip, a 6K VC heat dissipation system, and a massive 6,000 mAh battery. According to reports, the device will support 80W fast charging.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo will reportedly have a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It is expected to come with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It may be equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera and a dual camera setup with a resolution of 50MP + 8MP (ultra-wide).
