Rumors about Huawei’s upcoming flagship P70 series smartphone have been circulating for a long time. The recent wave of leaks suggests that the official presentation will take place very soon.
A leaked screenshot of what looks like a poster for the Huawei P70 series, indicating a possible launch date of April 2, has appeared on Weibo.
After this leak, other sources began to reveal key features of the smartphones. These leaks suggest that the P70 series may consist of four models – Huawei P70, P70 Pro, P70 Pro+, and P70 Art.
However, it is important to note that the authenticity of these leaks has not yet been confirmed, so it is better to treat them with caution.
It is rumored that Huawei plans to use the Kirin 9000S chipset in all P70 models. However, the chipset, manufactured by SMIC, is currently under scrutiny due to potential violations of US export restrictions.
In terms of display sizes, the P70 series is expected to feature panels ranging from 6.58 to 6.76 inches, all of which will use LTPO OLED technology.
The Pro and Pro+ models can be equipped with a 50-megapixel IMX989 1-inch primary camera sensor, while the standard P70 can be equipped with a 50-megapixel OV50H sensor. In addition, all variants are said to have a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
The battery capacity is rumored to range from 5,000 mAh to 5,200 mAh, with support for fast wired charging up to 88W and wireless charging up to 80W. As for the price, if the leaks are accurate, it could start at $700 for the base P70 model and go up to $1,400 for the top-of-the-line P70 Art variant.
