Huawei has officially announced a significant upgrade to its mobile imaging capabilities with the launch of its new brand, Huawei Image XMAGE. The announcement was made by Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Managing Director and Chairman of Terminal BG.
Introducing Huawei Image XMAGE

Mate 90 Series Features Enhanced Imaging
The new XMAGE imaging system is first featured in the Huawei Mate 90 series. The series introduces innovations across five key areas: portrait photography, telephoto capabilities, color science, video recording, and intelligent shooting. Core hardware upgrades include an all-series continuous variable aperture, the third-generation Red Maple original color camera, a 200-megapixel ultra-large sensor telephoto lens, and a 18EV ultra-high dynamic range main camera. These advancements aim to elevate the user’s imaging experience significantly.
The “Ruiying Z10” Modular Camera
During the Huawei Mate 90 series and all-scenario new product launch event, Huawei also unveiled the “Ruiying Z10” modular camera. This groundbreaking product is priced at 5999 yuan. When bundled with the Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition, the complete package costs 19499 yuan.
The Ruiying Z10 is a product of Huawei’s full-stack self-research and development. It features the HyperClick super mount and utilizes a 1-inch 50MP sensor combined with a 16-element optical lens group. This configuration enables a 10x continuous optical zoom, covering focal lengths from 24mm to 240mm with an aperture range of F2.0-4.5. The module is designed to work seamlessly with the smartphone, leveraging its computational power and storage capabilities for image processing.
