Huawei has unveiled the latest version of the MateBook X Pro laptop at the Hongmeng Eco Spring communications conference in China. The new iteration focuses on thin and light design, powerful performance, and innovative features. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the details in this article.
Technical specifications of Huawei MateBook X Pro
The new MateBook X Pro boasts an extremely lightweight design, weighing just 980 grams. That makes it lighter than even the 13.6-inch Apple MacBook Air.
The body is made of aircraft-grade magnesium alloy, which ensures durability while maintaining a sleek profile. Huawei also touts the use of a new “Cloud Falcon architecture” along with an industry-first “diamond aluminum material” to achieve this weight balance.
MateBook X Pro also impresses with its performance. It features the latest Core Ultra 9 processor capable of delivering up to 40 watts of performance.
This, according to Huawei, outperforms the performance of the Apple MacBook Pro 14 at a lighter weight. The Huawei MateBook X Pro is also currently the only laptop under 1 kilogram that boasts a Core Ultra 9 processor.
For connectivity, MateBook X Pro comes with the first-ever 3D metamaterial antenna. This technology promises 40-50% faster network speeds than the Apple MacBook Pro 14.
In audio, Huawei has introduced a new “smart sound screen technology” that allegedly offers 200% improvement in word accuracy, 230% better noise reduction, and the ability to isolate the interlocutor’s voice directly in front of the laptop. The laptop is equipped with a 6-speaker sound system.
The MateBook X Pro display is a 14.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 3120×2080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has a high contrast ratio of 1 million:1, a significant reduction in screen reflection (70%) and an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93%. Peak brightness is 1000 nits.
This iteration of the MateBook X Pro is the first Huawei laptop to integrate the Pangu big language model. This allows you to use AI-based features such as text summarization in various applications.
In addition, Huawei has partnered with other AI platforms such as WPS AI, Wen Xinyiyan, and iFlytek Spark to offer users a more complete AI experience. The laptop supports 140W charging according to the Huawei Turbo charging standard.
