Horizon, a key player in automotive intelligent systems, has officially launched version 2.1 of its HSD Full Scenario Assisted Driving System. This significant update introduces a suite of enhancements aimed at improving both driving and parking experiences, with the first vehicles to receive the upgrade being the iCAR V27, scheduled for phased rollout starting October 8th.
Key Upgrades in HSD V2.1
Driving Enhancements:
- All-Scenario Reversing Beta: A major new feature, this allows for assisted reversing across a wide range of environmental conditions.
- Flashing Lights and Honking Warning: The system now incorporates a warning mechanism using flashing lights and honking to alert drivers or other road users.
- Improved Complex Road Navigation: Efficiency in navigating challenging road conditions has been boosted.
- Optimized Turning Speeds and Trajectories: Left and right turn speeds have been refined, making the vehicle’s movements more human-like.
- Enhanced Lane Selection: Based on navigation routes and real-time traffic, the system can now pre-emptively select the optimal lane, improving trajectory planning through complex intersections.
- Advanced Risk Comprehension: The system’s understanding of scenarios involving stationary vehicles, pedestrians crossing blind spots, and occupied lanes has been strengthened, enabling proactive lane changes to avoid potential risks.
Parking Improvements:
- Custom Parking Spot Adsorption: Users can now define and the system will automatically align with custom parking spots.
- Remote Control for Custom Spots: The ability to remotely control parking in and out of custom-defined spots is now available.
- 360° Panoramic View (AVM) and SR Dual-Zone Drag: Enhanced visual aids and interaction for the surround-view system.
- Trace Reversing and Parking Assist Integration: Seamless handover between reversing along a traced path and the parking assist function.
- Physical Key Remote Parking: Parking maneuvers can now be initiated remotely using the car’s physical key.
New HMI Theme:
Upon reaching 100 kilometers of assisted driving usage with HSD V2.1, users will unlock a new ‘Building Blocks’ theme for the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), adding a gamified element to the driving experience.
Further Enhancements:
- Active Safety Boost: The visual neural network of the active safety perception system has been upgraded, improving collision avoidance in scenarios like crossing, low-speed following during turns, and cut-ins. The AES (Automatic Emergency Steering) front and rear-pincer trigger boundaries have been optimized for better success rates.
- Improved Parking Human-Machine Interaction: Several adjustments have been made to the interaction during parking assist, including new exit logic, a white wheel trajectory line during parking, narrow spot rendering, and optimized experiences for one-button parking, pausing, and takeover after parking.
- Remote Parking Functionality Refinements: Enhancements include tips for vulnerable scenarios during remote parking, an optimized entrance button display to reduce accidental presses, and improved activation speed.
